Where can I get more help for a specific issue?
You can start by clicking on the related links, which are next to each video - these lead to more information and services. If you don't find what you are looking for here, you can contact your local authority and ask them about the services available in your area.
Find your Local Authority, or your Local Health Services.
You don't seem to have a video on the topic I'm looking for.
We are producing more videos, so you may find that we will cover the topic you're interested in. If you want to let us know what you're thinking, you can use the Site Feedback section to tell us about it.
I’m a professional / website offering services aimed at parents. Can I put one of your videos on my website?
Yes. One of the great things about parentchannel.tv is that we are able to stream our videos to other websites where more parents will be able to find them. You can easily include (embed) parentchannel.tv videos on your own website free of charge. As the video is playing, click “embed video” which is in the centre of the bottom bar of the player. Select the player size you would like to embed (small, medium or large) and click the button ‘Copy Code’. A tick will appear underneath when it has copied successfully.
Finally, in your blog, Content Management System or website code, paste the code where you’d like the player to appear. (If you are sending the code to someone else to embed, paste it in to a text file to ensure the code continues to work as expected.) When you publish your page, the selected video will be embedded in your selected size of player. All videos must be displayed in accordance with terms and conditions.

Can I include more than one of your videos on my website?
Yes. You can embed videos within related articles or blog posts throughout your site. To find videos relating to the subject areas you cover on your website, try browsing the videos available by age range, category or topic area on our sitemap. If you would like to include a number of videos within a video playlist on your website, or if you have any special requirements or opportunities you would like to discuss with us, please get in touch.
I've got a video that would be great on this site - can you put it up for me?
Yes. If we feel that your video is appropriate and could benefit parents of ages 5-19, we may be able to host it here. Let us know and we'll aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
I'm really interested in being involved with the site. Can I help?
There are a number of ways to get involved. If you feel that you have valuable expert advice to offer to parents that we aren't already covering, please do register your interest.
My child refuses to eat healthy food, plays music too loudly, and is in trouble at school again. What can I do?!
We hope that our videos will give you some useful tips. We offer lots of support and advice on a number of topics, which you can find under the three main headings of learning, behaviour and wellbeing and in the three age brackets spanning 5-19. In addition, the related links on each video can point you in the direction of further support if you need it - you will find links to more tips and advice as well as free helplines and discussion forums where you can ask other parents and experts about specific issues.
Will there be any videos for the 0-5 age group?
Our funding agreement only allows for videos catering to the 5-19 age range as it was felt that there were fewer online resources for this group than for parents of younger children.
While we would like to cover the 0-5 age range in the future, at present we do not have specific plans or funding to do so. We are currently working on more videos for the 5-19 age groups and hope that parents and practitioners will continue to consider the site a valuable resource.
For advice and support with younger children, we recommend looking into the local services catalogued by Netmums and NAFIS. You can also find a range of information and support through the Directgov parents pages, as well as services such as The Baby Website.
Why can't I view the videos from outside the UK?
Due to our funding and licensing agreement, the videos are only available in the UK. We thank you for your interest in parentchannel.tv and would encourage you to explore some of the Related Links, where you will find established support and services covering the topics of the videos.
Will there be an interactive forum on the site?
At present we don’t have the resources to run an interactive forum and will remain, primarily, a video site. One of our key aims is to ensure that parents know about the existing support and services so, where appropriate, we have linked to established forums and online communities where parents can go for further support.
Where should I direct press or media enquiries about the site?
For media enquiries, please call 0870 626 9921 or email parentchannel@fourcommunications.com. Alternatively, you can use the feedback form and we will pass your enquiry onto our media team.
