Storyvault
A new online project called Storyvault has been set up to collect the stories and memories of ordinary people, preserving them for future generations – from a grandmother’s tale of surviving the war, to a child’s memory of his first day at school.
In the past, stories were filtered down through word of mouth or written and re-written over time. Now, thanks to the advent of digital storage and more accessible video equipment, we have the ability to record our pictures and stories in the moment and preserve them for posterity.
The site already includes stories from the oldest man in the world and the last survivor of the Titanic, as well as a whole host of family tales from the last century. Why not register for free and add your own family’s stories and help build up a bank of memories that children of the future can enjoy.
