Parentchannel.tv asked 2000 of you for your thoughts on parenting - we asked you what you worry about most, and how confident you are talking things through with your children.

Among the various issues we asked about, 57% of you said that alcohol and drug abuse was your biggest fear for your children. 43% of you were most worried about your children's future financial stability, 30% mentioned their children's worries over body image and 29% were concerned about the possibility of teenage pregnancy.

The issues that you said you found hardest to discuss with your children are the threat of paedophilia as your children become more independent, closely followed by your child's sexuality. 49% of you, however, recognised the importance of talking about sex, notably sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy.
