National Family Week

Last week, the school half term coincided with this year’s National Family Week. Throughout the country, families celebrated with a range of events that included picnics, sports days, story telling sessions and film making days.

Parentchannel.tv went out on the road to see what you were all up to - we went along to the Family Picnic at Alexandra Palace in London, where we were lucky enough to meet lots of parents and children enjoying a sunny (but windy!) day out together.

We also popped into some of the events at Lakeside Shopping Centre, where lots of you took part in a family history day and a family sports day, among other activities that week. And, us being us, of course we brought our cameras! Take a look at our flickr site and see some great pictures of some of the families who came along. Whatever you and your family did last week, we hope you had a chance to spend some time together and enjoy at least a little bit of sunshine. We had a great time meeting some of you and would like to extend a warm thank you to all the wonderful parents, carers and children who helped make our experience of National Family Week such a fun one.
